THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN CENTER REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY was called to order by Chairman Allen Green at 7:00 P.M.

DISCUSSION/ACTION

 

4.    Authorization to Issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Clearing & Under Brushing in the Riverwalk Area

 

Donna Steinebach, Assistant to the City Manager, gave details of item relating to clearing of Riverwalk area for public use. CRA would need to authorize the issuance of the RFP for clearing. Discussion was held on what would and would not be removed. This proposal does not include substantial tree removal. Discussion was also held relating to which parcels will be cleared and maintained.

 

Motion to authorize issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Clearing & Under Brushing in the Riverwalk Area made by Member Pohlmann, and Seconded by Member Ford. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote.

 

5.    Amendment #1 to the Agreement for Services with Tuff Turf, Inc. for Riverwalk Mowing 39x/annually

 

Motion to approve Amendment #1 to the Agreement for Services with Tuff Turf, Inc. for Riverwalk Mowing subject to approval of City Council item #11 made by Member Pohlmann, and Seconded by Member Kennedy.

 

Donna Steinebach, Assistant to the City Manager, explained the increase in services and price increase of $13,000. Member Talluto asked if City Staff could cut the grass instead of hiring outside companies. Mr. Parker explained that the City Staff has been cut and there's not enough Staff to handle it without increasing Staff.

Ms. Steinebach advised that 18 new lights from FPL will be going up in the old trailer park area, as well as repairs to the fence.

 

6.    Public Comments

 

Chairman Green asked for public comments; there were none.

 

7.    CRA Member Comments

 

Member Burnette feels the old trailer park maintenance has gotten better. He believes the no trespassing signs should be taken down. He wants to see a sign with park hours.
