THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN CENTER REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY was called to order by Chairman Allen Green at 7:19 P.M.

Suzette Blahnik introduced herself to the Board. She was recently appointed by the City Council to serve on the CRA Board. She owns Blahnik Eye Care, which is a business in the Town Center Redevelopment District.

 

B.        DISCUSSION/ACTION

 

4.    Approval of Minutes – Special Meeting held May 17, 2011

 

Motion to approve minutes made by Member Pohlmann and Seconded by Member Ford. Motion on carried unanimously by roll call vote.

 

5.    Contract Award for Riverwalk Mowing – Tuff Turf, Inc.

 

Donna Steinebach, Assistant to the City Manager, gave background on mowing contract.

 

Motion to approve award of the mowing contract to Tuff Turf, Inc. made by Member Pohlmann, and Seconded by Member Kennedy.

 

Member Talluto asked if it was a budgeted item. Ms. Steinebach said yes. Member Talluto asked if the city employees cut grass anymore. Mr. Parker said very few pieces. Chairman Green explained that the City was more expensive than the bids.  

Member Ford asked if 18 cuts is enough and is it standard. Ms. Steinebach explained that that was the standard for the City when it was bid out. She advised that she is more concerned with the palm fronds. Member Ford would like to consider more cuts. Ms. Steinebach explained that she can bring the item back to the CRA if they are not happy with the 18 cuts.
