A request for approval of the Subdivision Replat & Final Plans for the Newport Subdivision. If approved, the owner/developer intends to subdivide the 11.7-acre property into five commercial lots with cross-access easements and a common stormwater retention area.

LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TEXT AMENDMENT/Chapters 2, 12, 17 & 18

           

An administrative request to define hotel and motel separately, remove construction contractor’s yard and storage yard and motel as permitted uses in the Ridgewood Development District (RDD), allow hotel and bed and breakfast inn as permitted uses in the RDD, correct the special requirements for assisted living facilities and multi-family dwelling in the RDD, expand the area in the RDD where the use of alternative surfaces for parking lots is allowed, and allow for drought tolerant landscape material in the Ridgewood Avenue landscape buffer.

UPDATE OF STANDARD CONSTRUCTION DETAILS AS REFERENCED IN THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE

 

Administrative request to update details M-4, M-5, M-10-13, M-15-17, and M-24 for compliance with the 2010 Florida Building Code (FBC) regulations for accessibility and minimum design wind speed.

The Planning Commission shall limit the initial amount of time allotted for each applicant’s presentation to fifteen minutes. The Commission Chairman shall apportion the time available for citizen participation on all agenda items.

 

The Commission will not hear new items after 8:00 p.m. unless authorized by a majority vote of the Commission members present.  Items, which have not been heard by 8:00 p.m., may be continued to a date and time certain, or to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission, as determined by affirmative votes of the majority of the Board Members present.

 

Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the Planning Commission will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose he or she may need to ensure at his or her own expense for the taking and preparation of a verbatim record of all testimony and evidence of the proceedings upon which the appeal is to be based.
