The Planning Commission shall limit the initial amount of time allotted for each applicant’s presentation to fifteen minutes.  The Commission Chairman shall apportion the time available for citizen participation on all agenda items.


The Commission will not hear new items after 8:00 p.m. unless authorized by a majority vote of the Commission members present.  Items, which have not been heard by 8:00 p.m., may be continued to a date and time certain, or to the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission, as determined by affirmative votes of the majority of the Board Members present.

            A request for approval of a variance request from Chapter 9, Section 27(b)(2), City of Port Orange Land Development Code (LDC), pertaining to the main access pier width for residential docks. If the variance request is approved, Patricia Williams, owner/applicant will be able to keep a newly constructed dock measuring five (5) feet in width, in order to accommodate wheelchair accessibility.

            CONDITIONAL USE/Larry Fornari, Spruce Creek Partners LLC, owner/applicant

            4465 Spruce Creek Road


            A request for approval of a three-year extension for an existing conditional use permit to allow the continued use of a boat and RV storage facility on the subject property. If the Conditional Use request is approved, Larry Fornari of Spruce Creek Partners LLC, owner/applicant, is proposing to continue the storage of boats and RV units on the property.

            A request for approval of a 14th amendment to the Master Development Agreement and Conceptual Development Plan for the Southwinds Planned Unit Development (PUD). The purpose of the amendment is to provide for additional permitted uses for a portion of the PUD fronting on Clyde Morris Boulevard.

AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF PORT ORANGE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC)/Chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, & 18 – Development Order/Permit Expirations and Extensions


            An administrative request to amend Chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, & 18, revising definitions and adding new language regarding the process and conditions for Development Order and Development Permit expirations and extensions.

            AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF PORT ORANGE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC)/Chapter 10 – Erosion and Sedimentation Control Measures


            An administrative request to amend Chapter 10, Article I, Section 5 of the Land Development Code (LDC) relating to erosion and sedimentation control measures.  If approved, the proposed amendments will incorporate a new Federal requirement into the City’s stormwater management program for controlling erosion and sediment on construction sites.  The amendment would be applicable to construction projects that disturb ˝ acre of earth or greater.

            AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF PORT ORANGE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (LDC)/Chapters 2 & 16 - Renewable Energy


An administrative request to amend Chapters 2 and 16 of the Land Development Code, related to renewable energy systems. If approved, the subject amendments incorporate new definitions and establish requirements for small wind energy systems and solar collectors.
