THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE EASTPORT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY was called to order by Chairman Allen Green at 6:53 P.M.

4.    Approval of Minutes

a.    October 23, 2012 – Regular Meeting

b.    December 4, 2012 – Special Meeting

 

Motion to approve the October 23, 2012 minutes was made by Member Burnette, and Seconded by Member Ford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.

 

Motion to approve the December 4, 2012 minutes was made by Member Burnette, and Seconded by Member Ford. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.

 

5.    CRA Quarterly Report

 

Donna Steinebach, Assistant to the City Manager, provided the first quarter report for the Eastport CRA.  There will be a Special Meeting held prior to the next regular meeting to discuss the five-year financial plan. Ms. Steinebach advised that there are two (2) openings on the Board. Staff is involved in the homeowner’s association and is actively marketing the properties.

 

Mayor Green advised that he discussed the property previously offered to the CRA/City and advised him that they are willing to accept the property but they are not willing to pay much for it.

 

Vice Mayor Burnette asked Ms. Steinebach to provide a financial report with the quarterly reports moving forward. He also asked if it is possible to put fiber optics in the area. Ms. Steinebach said it will be part of the discussion relating to the finances that is coming up soon.
