THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE EASTPORT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY was called to order by Chairman Allen Green at 8:11 P.M.

DISCUSSION/ACTION

 

4.         Approval of Minutes of Regular Meeting – January 24, 2012

 

Motion made by Member Burnett, and Seconded by Member Kennedy, to approve the January 24, 2012 minutes.  Motion carried unanimously by voice vote.

 

5.         Annual Report Presentation - FY 2010/2011

 

Verbal overview and written annual report was provided to the CRA by Donna Steinebach, Assistant to the City Manager. Member Pohlmann asked about the marketing strategy for Eastport. Ms. Steinebach advised that she has worked with Team Volusia, as well as local realtors and the County. There is also national advertising being done.

 

6.         Quarterly Update – 2nd Quarter FY 2011/2012

 

Verbal overview and written quarterly update was provided to the CRA by Ms. Steinebach.

 

7.         Public Comments

 

Ted Noftall addressed Council regarding the lands for sale in Eastport.

 

8.         CRA Comments

 

Mayor Green advised that the State is funding $2.5 million in road improvements due to flooding on Dunlawton. Mayor Green asked if there is a requirement on attendance for the CRA members. Attorney Roberts will check into the rules. Mr. Parker thanked City Staff for their work on getting the funding secured, as well as our neighboring communities.
