One hundred years ago, citizens of Port Orange voted to incorporate the community into the Town of Port Orange. It became official on March 17, 1913, and our first Mayor was Dr. Henry K. DuBois.

We have certainly come a long way and we have plenty to celebrate. Throughout this year, the City will host different events and offer programs to celebrate the community and its history.

The City of Port Orange would like to thank and recognize the many sponsors that have graciously contributed financially or with in-kind donations to the Centennial Celebration throughout 2013: Waste Pro Services (Principle Sponsor); Halifax Health (Principle Sponsor); Bright House Networks (Principle Sponsor); Quentin L. Hampton Associates; Aunt Catfish's On the River; Giles Electric; Palmer College of Chiropractic; PFM Management; Akerman Senterfit, LLC; Zev Cohen & Associates, Inc.; ICI Homes; Florida Health Care Plans; Brown & Brown; Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center; Southeastern Investment Securities; Jumpin' Beans; Representative David Hood; Catarino Family; Parker Family; Port Orange Camera Club; Port Orange Regional Library; J&M Storage; Kemper Sports; Cracker Creek; and Port Orange Family Days Trust.
