Reclaimed water involves taking what we once considered to be wastewater, giving it a high degree of treatment, and using the resulting high quality reclaimed water for a new beneficial use. The City of Port Orange uses its reclaimed water for irrigation of residential lawns, golf courses, athletic fields and road medians. Extensive treatment and disinfection ensure that public health and the quality of the environment are protected.
