EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 22


AN EXECUTIVE ORDER OF THE NIMS INCIDENT

COMMANDER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

DIRECTOR OF THE CITY OF PORT ORANGE, VOLUSIA

COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO.

5 TO RE-OPEN THE SKATE PARK; AND PROVIDING AN

EFFECTIVE DA TE.


WHEREAS, Governor Ron Desantis issued Executive Order Number 20-52 on

March 9, 2020, declaring that a state of emergency exists in every county in the State of

Florida; and


WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Orange has declared a Local State

of Emergency beginning March 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. pursuant to Resolution 20-12; and


WHEREAS, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic may cause life threatening

conditions for the residents of the City of Port Orange; and


WHEREAS, Governor Ron Desantis issued Executive Order Number 20-112

implementing the fist phase of the Florida Re-Open Plan; and


WHEREAS, the City of Port Orange is now taking steps to re-open locally; and


WHEREAS, like the Florida Re-Open Plan, the City’s re-opening will also be a

phased approach.


NOW THEREFORE, be it ordered by the NIMS Incident Commander and

Emergency Management Director of the City of Port Orange, Volusia County, Florida, as

follows:


SECTION 1. The City Skatepark is hereby re-opened.


SECTION 2. Executive Order No. 5 is hereby revised to the extent it conflicts with

this Order. All other provisions set forth in Executive Order No. 5 remain in effect.


SECTION 3. This Executive Order shall become effective on Monday, May 4,

2020.
