 The Public is welcome to attend the Canvassing Board Meeting where ballots are opened and counted.

Canvassing Board Members: 

Robin Fenwick, Assistant City Manager;

Tracee Cody, Assistant City Clerk; and 

Amanda Bonin, Code Enforcement Manager.

At the Regular City Council Meeting held on February 21, 2023, the Port Orange City Council called for a Primary and Special Election to fill the vacant seat established by the resignation of Council Member Kat Atwood.

A Special Election will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 to elect a new Council Member for District 2. Candidates must be a resident of the City of Port Orange for at least 12 months, a registered voter of Volusia County, and a resident of District 2 to run for this seat. Candidates are also required to file a petition signed by at least 50 qualified electors of the City with the City Clerk and pay fees required by law during normal business hours during the qualifying period, which is NOON on Monday, June 12, 2023 through NOON on Friday, June 16, 2023.
