Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

The City of Port Orange has determined that efforts to control the City’s feral cat population must continue.  Following the City Council approval of Ordinance No. 2020-9 on 06/16/2020, the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program for the City of Port Orange is up and running again!  The city’s Animal Control Unit will oversee the TNR program, aimed at reducing the feral cat population, through collaboration with the current colony caregivers, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

The current colony caregivers, who registered under CCFAW, will need to complete the City’s new application and re-register to be part of the new TNR program.  The application, along with the TNR Program Policy Guide and TNR Rules, are available for download from this website.  Return the completed and signed application to the Animal Control Unit at the Police Department and one of our Animal Control Officers (ACOs) will contact you shortly thereafter.  Any questions regarding the application, the Program Policy Guide, or TNR Rules sheet, should be directed to the Animal Control Unit at 386-506-5836.
