2019 Special Election Information

At a Special City Council Meeting held on January, 8, 2019, the Port Orange City Council declared a vacancy in Council Seat District 1 due to the passing of Councilman Robert Ford. At this same meeting they called for a Primary and Special Election and determined the process for appointing an interim council member. Jack Wiles was appointed as the Interim Council Member to serve until the City's election process is complete.

A Special Run Off Election will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 between Lee Barreiro and Marilyn Ford. Polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. the day of the election.

Early voting will be held at the Department of Elections, DeLand from June 3-7, 2019 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Voter registration books close on May 13, 2019.

PUBLIC LOGIC & ACCURACY (L&A) TESTING will be held at the Department of Elections Warehouse, 2550 W Hwy 44, Bldg 14, Deland, on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 9:00 am.

The Canvassing Board for the City of Port Orange will begin canvassing the vote by mail ballots on June 11, 2019 beginning at 4:00 pm at the Department of Elections, 125 W. New York Ave., DeLand.
