Recycle Collection

Proper recycling separation is very important.

Please see below for instructions on how to separate your recycling.

RECYCLE ROUTE MAP

  • This service includes one (1) weekly collection of recyclable materials placed in containers approved by the City and designated for recycling purposes. Limit three (3) bins per household.
  • Non-recyclable materials will be left in your bin to let you know that item is not recyclable.
  • Large boxes must be broken down and all cardboard needs to be no larger than 5 foot by 5 foot size to be recycled.  Do not bundle or tie flattened boxes together. Cardboard larger than 5 feet will be collected with garbage.
  • NO GLASS
  • No Pizza boxes, Styrofoam containers or plastic bags of any kind (newspaper, food, grocery). Grocery bags can be recycled at most grocery stores.
  • To request a replacement for a broken recycle bins to be delivered to your residence call Waste Pro at 386-492-8855 from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or Port Orange Customer Service at 386-506-5720 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please leave your broken bin outside and it will be removed upon delivery of the replacement.

  • Newspapers (plastic sleeve removed and thrown away)
  • Junk mail & magazines
  • Phone books
  • Mixed office paper
  • Cereal and snack boxes
  • Paper food packaging
  • Cardboard boxes (cut or flattened) to
    5 foot by 5 foot


When using one bin, put all paper products in a paper bag (NOT PLASTIC) and place inside bin next to plastics and aluminum items.
