Recycle Collection

Proper recycling separation is very important.

Please see below for instructions on how to separate your recycling.

  • This service includes one (1) weekly collection of recyclable materials placed in containers approved by the City and designated for recycling purposes. Limit three (3) bins per household.
  • Non-recyclable materials will be left in your bin to let you know that item is not recyclable.
  • Large boxes must be broken down and all cardboard needs to be no larger than 5 foot by 5 foot size to be recycled.  Do not bundle or tie flattened boxes together. Cardboard larger than 5 feet will be collected with garbage.
  • No Pizza boxes, Styrofoam containers or plastic bags of any kind (newspaper, food, grocery). Grocery bags can be recycled at most grocery stores.
  • Residents can pick up recycle bins at the Public Works Department at 407 Virginia Ave. Port Orange.
