IMPORTANT!

CHANGES TO THE RECYCLE ROUTES WILL BEGIN MAY 1st. 
CHECK THE SOLID WASTE NEWS BROCHURE FOR CHANGES IN YOUR AREA.

If your recycling is not picked up on the new collection day, please look for a green tag which will list any issues that may have caused your recycle materials to not be collected.

Proper separation is very important. Please see below for instructions on how to separate your recycling.

RECYCLE ROUTE MAP

  • This service includes one (1) weekly collection of recyclable materials placed in containers approved by the City and designated for recycling purposes. Limit three (3) bins per household.
  • Non-recyclable materials will be left in your bin to let you know that item is not recyclable.
  • Large boxes must be broken down and all cardboard needs to be no larger than 5 foot by 5 foot size to be recycled.  Do not bundle or tie flattened boxes together. Cardboard larger than 5 feet will be collected with garbage.
  • NO GLASS
  • No Pizza boxes, Styrofoam containers or plastic bags of any kind (newspaper, food, grocery). Grocery bags can be recycled at most grocery stores.
  • Residents can pick up recycle bins at the Public Works Department at 407 Virginia Ave. Port Orange.

  • CD cases and prescription bottles
  • Plastic containers with recycle symbols 1-7
