Thomas Grimaldi is a 27 year veteran police officer who began his career in 1988 in the State of Connecticut. During his term with the Bristol Police Department, he held numerous positions including Detective, Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Detective Lieutenant, Captain, and was Chief of Police for three years before recently retiring. During his career with the Bristol Police Department, Chief Grimaldi received the Meritorious Service Award, an Exceptional Service Award and a Life Saving Award.
On December 1, 2015, Thomas Grimaldi was sworn in as the Port Orange Police Department's Chief of Police. Chief Grimaldi holds a Master's Degree in management from the University of Saint Joseph and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
He is a member of the International Chiefs of Police, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association, the New England Police Chiefs Association and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association.
