The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Phase 1A of Riverwalk Park was held on April 11, 2016.
Phase 1A, is located at the north end of the park, just north of the existing Chamber of Commerce.
Contractor: AG Pifer Construction Co., Inc.
Cost of Phase 1A: $1,048,664
Design and construction funded in part by $237,027 grant funding received from the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND)
The amenities included in Phase 1A are:
Kayak / canoe / stand up paddleboard launch
New timber boardwalk and refurbishment of the existing timber fishing pier
12 foot wide trail including a trailhead / concession stand / restroom facility
Crossover bridge to connect the new amenities to the existing Chamber of Commerce building
New lighting, landscaping and irrigation
