Mission Statement

The Port Orange Police Athletic League has an overall objective to provide quality activities and interaction between law enforcement, community adult leaders, and juveniles in the community.

Goals

  • To organize and conduct youth activities

  • Set forth positive images, team play, and build self-esteem

  • Encourage positive activities for the youth in the community

  • Use supervised activities as a deterrent against crime and juvenile delinquency

  • Promote crime prevention, protection of property and the preservation of law and order

  • Provide youth of our community and surrounding communities with a healthy, safe and productive environment

Application

Membership in Port Orange PAL is restricted to children ages 8-18. The application may be download here and turned into the PAL office, together with a copy of the child's birth certificate and a $5.00 fee. Adobe Acrobat Reader must be used to view and print the application. It may also be picked up at the PAL facility during office hours. 

  • The Port Orange Police Athletic League has the right to cancel any member that does not abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the P.A.L.

  • All members must provide a copy of their birth certificate and a waiver of liability of insurance must be signed prior to acceptance by P.A.L.

  • The participation, permission and emergency medical care permission/release must also be completed prior to becoming a P.A.L. member

  • Cost for membership is $5.00 per person for a period of one year.

Location

The Police Athletic League is located at 209 Dunlawton Avenue, next to the 7-Eleven in Westbridge Plaza. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 1PM to 7PM. Mary Aide is the Department's PAL coordinator and can be reached at (904) 756-5325.
