Storm Debris (Black Crow Media Spot)
    October 4, 2004

:60 Port Orange is a community of neighbors. Over a six week period, hurricanes Charley, Frances, and Jeanne had a major impact on our community. As our residents rebuild their homes and businesses, please know the City of Port Orange is right there with you assisting your recovery.

The City would like to remind you Port Orange’s storm debris contractors are now preparing to make their final pass through the community this week. Residents can assist the cleanup effort by placing the debris curbside well away from fire hydrants, storm drains, and water meters. In addition, please separate the debris from any building materials you may have. Our regular garbage contractor, Onyx Waste Services, will resume normal collection activities October 11. Remember, all tree permitting requirements are now in affect. If you have a tree or building permit question, contact the Community Development Department at 386-506-5600.

Finally, if you have access to the Internet, you can visit the City’s website at www.port-orange.org to review up-to-date information on recovery efforts and vital safety tips. This message is brought to you by The City of Port Orange, unique by choice, not by chance.
